Good practice book

The strength of the FLAPP network is in the exchange of experiences between experts in Europe. Apart from study visits and other exchange activities, a database has been created with over 25 practical flood management examples. The experiences range from cross border flood mapping, renaturalisation projects in regional streams to transboundary monitoring systems and public awareness tools. A selection of good practice examples is shown here.

"‘It was interesting to see the levels of communications between the rivers Agency and the Electricity Supply Board. The two jurisdictions co-operated well on this project for such a long time already. This is a good example of crossborder communications ongoing in Ireland. The fact that there are so many different organisations responsible for separate aspects of water management can make communications"
